Bloomsbury Library operates from The POD in Oliver Street, Nechells, Birmingham B7 4NX. The library is located on the mobile library bus that is permanently parked in the car park and is being stocked with a wide range of books. The books are changed regularly to reflect the requirements and requests of our service users.
The library service will continue from here for the foreseeable future.

All Libraries are closed on Bank Holidays.
You can borrow, reserve and return books. There are no computer facilities. Wheelchair access is available.

Heartlands Local History Society - Now at Nechells Green Community Centre
Fourth Wednesday of the month 10.30am for an 11am start until about 1pm.
Talks by invited speakers and outings to places of interest. A warm welcome is extended to new members. Meetings are held at Nechells Green Community Centre, Melvina Road, Nechells, B7 4QU. The POD is about five minutes walk away via Bloomsbury Walk, Bloomsbury Street, then into Oliver Street (see map below for walking directions from Bloomsbury Library to The POD).
8 and 66 stop right outside the library at The POD in Oliver Street.
55, 55A, 56, 72, 90, and 94 stop nearby in Nechells Parkway, site of the old Bloomsbury Library.
Duddeston Station is 10 minutes walk from the library via Bloomsbury Walk through Bloomsbury Street, across Nechells Parkway, then up through Melvina Road.
The POD car park is available free of charge for use by library visitors, for the duration of the visit to the library. Access to the car park is through the black metal gates, which remain open during the library opening times. Vehicles may also be parked in Oliver Street itself, or in nearby Bloomsbury Street, again free of charge.
