Yes. We work in partnership with a dedicated catering service provider for the Library of Birmingham. The catering team has more than 30 years’ experience of catering for a wide range of meetings, events and banquets at prestigious venues including Highbury Hall. We offer a range of competitively priced menus and will be pleased to discuss options with you, including for any special dietary requirements.
Is the Library of Birmingham licensed?
Yes, the Library of Birmingham is licenced for the consumption of alcohol at private events. We also hold a licence for wedding ceremonies and civil ceremonies.
Do you have parking?
There are a number of public car parks available nearby, including the Paradise Circus Multi-Storey car park on Cambridge Street at the rear of the Library. We do not have any on-site parking.
Do you have WiFi?
There is free WiFi available throughout the Library of Birmingham and for a charge we can offer a premium service.
Do your meeting rooms have projectors/ AV equipment?
Yes. All rooms in the Meeting Room Suite are equipped with AV equipment including projectors and this is included in the rates charged. We can supply a laptop computer if required – this must be booked in advance and extra charges apply.
Can you provide extra flipcharts and other equipment?
Yes. All meetings rooms come with one flipchart, paper and pens as standard. We can provide extra flipcharts if required and also have a small number of laptops available. All additional equipment must be booked in advance and extra charges apply.
Do you have a PA system?
Yes. We can provide a portable PA system and technician. The PA system must be booked in advance and extra charges apply.
How do I book Music Practice Rooms?
Three Music Practice Rooms are available in the Music Library on the lower ground floor. All have digital pianos. Music Practice Rooms cost £5 per hour to hire. It is advisable to pre-book however if you turn up on the day and a practice room is available, it is possible to hire it immediately.
