The Library of Birmingham is licensed to hold wedding and civil ceremonies, offering couples a very special city centre venue that is perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings in our Shakespeare Memorial Room on level 9.
The Shakespeare Memorial Room was created for the city’s Victorian library by John Henry Chamberlain in 1882. Following restoration by local craftsmen, it now commands an impressive position at the very top of the Library of Birmingham. Hire of the Shakespeare Memorial Room also include exclusive use of the adjoining Skyline Viewpoint, with stunning panoramic views across the city.
